Berlin, Germany - Monday 14 to Friday 18 May

Train trip to sunny, spacious Berlin with green, leafy parklands and lakes. It's warm and has a very relaxed vibe, friendly people who can translate what we say into something sensible and serve us more wonderful food and German beer :) highlights were a fascinating walking tour of Old Berlin mainly in the East, Karl Marx Alley (it was called Josef Stalin Alley until East Germany woke up to Josef ha ha!) the zoo, the old and reconstructed, museums, churches and other buildings and the great rail system we're also highlights for us.
